The Lower Shaunavon medium oil resource play is in southwest Saskatchewan. This area is at an earlier stage of development than the Bakken, but also has exciting potential. With its Wave acquisition and land asset acquisitions announced in August 2009, Crescent Point has production of the area of approximately 4,400 boe/d, controls 215 net sections of land, and has a drilling inventory of roughly 1,000 targets at eight wells/section.
