The Sounding Lake property is Crescent Point’s original core property. It is a large oil and gas in place pool of medium gravity oil and associated natural gas production. Original resource in place is 58 mmboe, of which less than 27 percent has been recovered to date. Crescent Point operates this property, with a 90 percent working interest and current net production of 1000 boe per day.
Crescent Point’s technical team has identified several initiatives to optimize production and increase reserves at Sounding Lake. Initiatives include converting and reactivating injector wells in the Cummings A waterflood and expanding the waterflood in the Sparky zone which commenced in 2008. The team has also identified several net low risk drilling locations and several recompletion candidates.
